Blox Fruits First Sea
The First Sea (Sea 1) covers Level 1 to Level 700. It is where every player starts their
journey, learns the basic game mechanics, and prepares for the real challenge in the Second Sea.
If you are new to the game, this guide covers what you should focus on, what to buy, and the mistakes that
waste your time.

First Sea Priority Checklist: What to Do First
When starting out in the First Sea, follow these steps to progress as fast as possible:
- Get an Elemental (Logia) Fruit: Elemental fruits (like Light,
Ice, or Flame) make enemies below your level unable to hit you with normal
attacks. Light Fruit is the absolute best for First Sea because it lets you fly across islands
super fast.
- Buy Skyjump & Aura (Buso Haki): Visit the Ability Teacher at Frozen
Village (Level 90+) as soon as you can.
- Skyjump ($10,000): Lets you jump multiple times in the air.
- Aura / Buso Haki ($25,000): Increases your physical damage and allows you to hit Elemental users.
- Flash Step ($100,000): A short-distance instant teleport.
- Get Observation Haki (Instinct): When you reach Level 300+, go to the Upper Skylands and buy
Instinct from the Instinct Teacher for $750,000. It lets you dodge enemy attacks automatically.
- Solve the Jungle Puzzle for Saber: At Level 200, go to Jungle and solve the button puzzle to
defeat the Saber Expert. Saber is the best free sword in the First Sea.
What's Actually Worth Doing in the First Sea?
Many new players waste money and time on items they will abandon immediately. Here is what is actually worth getting:
Essential Gear & Fighting Styles (Get These!)
- Light Fruit or Buddha Fruit: Light is #1 for fast traveling and questing in Sea 1. If you manage to get Buddha, keep it for the rest of the game!
- Fishman Karate or Water Kung Fu: Buy this at Underwater City ($750,000). It is the fastest-attacking style in Sea 1 and upgrades into the best grinding style later.
- Vice Admiral's Coat: Drop from Vice Admiral at Marine Fortress (Level 130+). Gives +200 Energy and +200 Health - the best accessory in early game.
- Saber (V2): Solve the puzzle, defeat the Saber Expert, and upgrade it to V2 once you reach 1 Million Bounty.
Things to Skip / Ignore (Don't Waste Money Here)
- Random Sword Dealers: Do NOT spend money buying Katana, Iron Mace, Pipe, or Triple Katana from island vendors. They are weak and a waste of cash.
- PvP Fighting: You lose nothing when dying to players in Sea 1, but trying to fight other players slows down your leveling process. Focus 100% on quests.
- Rolling Fruits Constantly: Only buy random fruits from the Blox Fruit Dealer Cousin (Jungle) if you have extra cash and don't have a good fruit yet. Save your money for Haki and Fighting Styles!
How to Get to Second Sea in Blox Fruits
To get to the Second Sea, reach Level 700, go to the
Prison island, and talk to the Military Detective to get a key. Take the key
to the cave at Frozen Village, unlock the brown door, and defeat the Ice Admiral
boss. Finally, talk to the Detective again at Prison, then go to Middle Town and speak with the
Experienced Captain at the docks to sail to the Second Sea!
3 Common Beginner Mistakes (And How to Avoid Them)
Mistake 1: Putting Points into Everything (Stat Ruin)
The Problem: Splitting your stat points into Melee, Defense, Sword, Gun, AND Fruit equally makes you deal very low damage.
The Fix:
- Choose ONE main attack type. If you use a Fruit, put points into Blox Fruit + Melee + Defense.
- Do NOT put points into Gun, and don't put points into Sword unless you are a pure Sword main.
Mistake 2: Changing Your Elemental Fruit
The Problem: Swapping a good leveling fruit (like Light, Ice, or Flame) for a cool-looking Mythical fruit (like Gravity or Dragon) early on.
The Fix: High-tier Mythical fruits have huge mastery requirements and high skill cooldowns. They are terrible for leveling up in First Sea. Stick to Light Fruit until Level 700!
Mistake 3: Fighting Bosses Without Using Safe Spots
The Problem: Dying over and over to bosses like Thunder God or Cyborg because you fight them face-to-face.
The Fix: Most First Sea bosses can be trapped behind walls, pillars, or door frames. Use long-range Fruit skills or extended M1 attacks from a safe distance.
